I am seeking details of my great grandparents who migrated to Australia in 1853. David worked at the Burnside mill as a joiner in 1845 and his wife was from Arbirlot. They lived in South Melbourne,Victoria,Australia.
David lived from 1816-1894 and Matilda from 1817-1890. Jim brown

My grandfather born in Arbroath left for new Zealand in 1905.
His parents were buried in the Arbroath abbey churchyard and they were Susan falconer millar1841_1921 and Robert hutcheon Carrie 1844_1890.
I am trying to find any living relatives possibly down the line from a William hutcheon Carrie Ross 1902_1981,possible son John b.1931.
Also in family middle names is falconer.
Thanks for looking.

Researching the descendants of Alexander Vannet b. 1759 Arbroath and his wife Helen Wylie b. 1761 Arbroath. My research indicates that they had a large family including; Mary b.1785, d. 1825, Isabel b. 1787 who may have married a William Caithness, John b. 1789, Helen b. 1790, Elizabeth b. 1792, Margaret b. 1800 and James Alexander b. 1802, all born in Arbroath. There appears to have been a number of other children with some of the same Christian names who I presume died at a young age. Any info regarding marriage details or emigration especially to Australia would be appreciated.

I am researching the family of David Paton DOB 11/12/1871 Died in Glasgow 3/10/1949 Buried 6 Oct 1949 in Arbroath Western Cemetery (Lair: Section G, no.427)

While doing my research I came across a distant family member who was researching the Lindsay family, it turned out we have ancestors in common from Arbroath and we both have a photo of this person but none of us can figure out who he is.
We have shown this photo to all of our living relatives, but no-one can come up with a name.

I have other photos with my parents and this man also me in the same garden. I am hoping that someone on this site may either recognise him or even be able to tell me where the garden is, which might help my older cousins to remember a name.
