New Topic A NEWTON AVENUE ADDRESS FOR A MR.ROSS OF THE ANGUS TRAINING GROUP Posted by beeandceegee
02 Jul 2014 :  08:28:23 AM
Hi
I noticed online an address of 39 Newton Avenue,Arbroath for one John Ferguson Smith Ross formerly of Angus Training Group, a safety and training manager from 1988-1989.
This person could be a relation I am looking for in my family tree. He was born in 1931 and married Evangeline Mary Robertson.
I would like to get in contact but I'm picking the Newton Avenue address is a block of flats(looking at street view) and needs a flat number. I can't look in the phone book as I am overseas.
Is anyone able to look in the phone book for me? Or perhaps even know the area and names.
Thanks

My grandfather born in Arbroath left for new Zealand in 1905.
His parents were buried in the Arbroath abbey churchyard and they were Susan falconer millar1841_1921 and Robert hutcheon Carrie 1844_1890.
I am trying to find any living relatives possibly down the line from a William hutcheon Carrie Ross 1902_1981,possible son John b.1931.
Also in family middle names is falconer.
Thanks for looking.

New Topic WHO CAN HELP ME WITH A NAME FOR THIS MAN Posted by GlesgaGirl
21 May 2014 :  03:44:11 AM
I am researching the family of David Paton DOB 11/12/1871 Died in Glasgow 3/10/1949 Buried 6 Oct 1949 in Arbroath Western Cemetery (Lair: Section G, no.427)

While doing my research I came across a distant family member who was researching the Lindsay family, it turned out we have ancestors in common from Arbroath and we both have a photo of this person but none of us can figure out who he is.
We have shown this photo to all of our living relatives, but no-one can come up with a name.

I have other photos with my parents and this man also me in the same garden. I am hoping that someone on this site may either recognise him or even be able to tell me where the garden is, which might help my older cousins to remember a name.
