We are a traditional italian restaurant . we been in this town for more then 18 years under the same owner-ship . The chef proprietor , italian born , did a lot of training in Italy , France and Spain and has brought a lot of continental flavour to our dishes . Our menu has not only pastas and pizzas ( like most people will think ) , but also a variety of fish , chicken , veal and steaks dishes .We do private parties and weddings as well. Portcullis bar is a community pub,expertly run by george and lorraine williams, we have an excellent clientelle, and even if you visit as a stranger you'll leave as a friend. the portcullis consist's of a public bar, with large screen, plasma t v, with full sky package, a large games room, with 2 full size snooker tables, 3 pool tables, and 2 dart boards, also a function room, popular for private functions, not forgetting our cocktail lounge where we serve a selection of good quality meals at a reasonable price,also a quote from our customers, the best steak pie in arbroath.

Smithies is a specialist cheese shop with deli counters and a range of wines and liquers. We also have a carry out sandwich bar and coffee shop. We are now fully licensed and are holding themed evenings on a monthly basis. You can find us on facebook under smithies deli for further details of these evenings.The shop has all the original tiles from when it was a Liptons, way back at the start of the last century.In the 50's it became a direct meats shop and was fittied out with big hanging rails, which are still there to this day. All in all well worth a visit.

Our 'tea-room' is a quaint step into the past where you are served by girls in long dresses with a 'toorie' on their head. Tea is served in a teapot with a strainer and all our baking is done on the premises. You can have breakfast lunch or afternoon tea and even with a glass of wine or a beer if you fancy.... Tutties Neuk Inn is a weel kent establishment for its fresh food and excellent choice of Menu (all Cooked to order) By mine host Alan Shand and delightfully served by mine host also (Carol Shand) A Red Lichtie of the first order. Tutties (as it is affectionately known) is the place to be for pre and post match drinks and fare, prior to visiting Gayfield, where the local Football Team (Managed by John McGlashan) is to be found.
