Angus Council has become the first local authority to publish its entire burial register online via the Deceased Online website. All 190,000 records are available to search including maps, exact grave locations, and digital photographs of many headstones. The data provided covers all 75 Angus cemeteries - Arbroath's Eastern cemetery has 15,200 Burials from 1894 to 2003, while the Western list contains 18,300 burials from 1867 to 2007.

I've been using this site for a while now, they had been uploading Angus records for a while. It was only when the data was entirely uploaded when they announced it in the press.

I've had the same problem too Smokie1756, perhaps I'm not searching right? How's your searching going Keith?

I think its when they are maxed out with visitors they put you in a que Derek , but normally you would see a page saying sorry we are at max connections capacity or something on other sites

Found my big brother's exact date of burial from 1985.


Feels a wee bit strange seeing this kind of thing online.

This site does not give all those buried in both cemeteries! It shows my mother in East cemetry but not my brother Roy in the West cemetry.
