I do not know for certain if he worked for either Brigadier Oliver or his Sister as a driver. Would anyone know if this is correct, or does anyone know who drove for this family around about 1925 - 1945. He lived in number 21 Ponderlaw Lane - would anyone know who owned these houses then I wonder if it was Brigadier Oliver? Any help would be gratefully received, many thanks. | | PlanterMaster Smokie USA1064 Posts Last here: Yesterday | Posted - 28 Apr 2010 : 01:29:46 AM When I was a kid (1960s to 1970s) my doctor was a Dr Christie, and he was brilliant. He had a surgery up by Hayshead. I am rambling so not sure if this helps but my family goes way back to the founding of Arbroath.

For, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself. | | 0400772Wee HaggisUnited Kingdom7 Posts Last here: 27 Jun 2010 | Posted - 27 Jun 2010 : 9:40:12 PM do you have any other information on James. i.e. Brothers sisters, parents etc | | MonkswalkWee Haggis6 Posts Last here: 04 Jul 2010 | Posted - 04 Jul 2010 : 7:18:13 PM I do not know if James had any siblings but his fathers name was James also and he was a Gardener, his mothers name was Emily Christine Watson Scott, maiden name of Begg. The James I am looking for was I believe married to Margaret Angus Christie on 15/9/1923 at 5 Earnest Street, Arbroath. | | | | Topic | |
