| Author | Topic | | | Posted - 21 Nov 2011 : 7:55:58 PM I am trying to gain information on James Sturrock Scott who originally lived in Palmer Street, Arbroath, and died in 1965 in Kingsley House, Marketgate. I know that Kingsley House is now a boarding house, but wondered if it were a private home in 1965. James had a family I believe - his first son was James Black Scott who lived in St. Murdochs Crescent with his wife Annie and their children. Any information on this family, did James and Annie have any children and are they still in Arbroath would be gratefully received. James Black Scott died at the good old age of 94 in Arbroath in 2004. Many thanks in anticipation of someone knowing this family. | | TerrymacMaster Smokie United Kingdom1922 Posts Last here: 2 days ago | Posted - 21 Nov 2011 : 11:47:05 PM I lived next door to a Mr and Mrs Scott in 50's/60's. they lived at No.56... Never knew their first names.. They had three children, Ian, Alison and Catherine.. Ian still lived in Arbroath in 2010, he was in his late 60's and is a retired Ships Captain from the Merchant Navy... I believe Alison married and emigrated (not sure).. Don't know about Catherine.. May be same family?

I still see him around, drinks in the Commercial and Foundry bar. I think he lives up Grampian Gardens way?

I am researching the CANT family of Arbroath and have an Elizabeth CANT who married David CRAMMOND (spelling) probably around 1920? and they had a son David. They lived on Kinnaird Street in Arbroath in early 1960's. Would this fit into your information.

Nearly all the children of this latter union had Sturrock as the middle name IE Sturrock Scott. I'm happy to share more if of interest. Allan | | | | Topic | |
