The MONTROSE STANDARD & ANGUS & MEARNS REGISTER (newspaper) dated October 22nd, 1915 recorded

Mr JAMES ANDERSON , MA, BSc, was on SATURDAY appointed Assistant Mathematical Master in the HIGH SCHOOL . Mr Anderson belongs to Perth and was educated at Sharps Institution there and at Glasgow University .

( I remember Mr James Anderson when I was in the primary school and maybe he had retired by the time I got to the Secondary at the High . He lived in Nolt Loan Road and I remember my gran in Hill Street ( No 35 Hill St. ) telling me that Mr James Anderson was in digs at her house along with a Medical Doctor when they moved to the town first from Uni. )
