My name is William Brad Radcliff. I visited Arbroath about 4 different times in the 1960s with my grandmother. My grandmothers maiden name was Florence Kerr, Marriage name Florence Torgeson. Florence was born in Arbroath in 1902. She moved to New York around 1920. Her brother Joseph Kerr lived in Arbroath his entire life - his last residence was on 28 Wardykes Rd. On one of the trips back to Arbroath I attended Ladyloan School. My grandmother passed away in 1973. She used to mention old stories of a Salt Pond near the cliffs.

I live in Los Angeles California since my birth in 1957. I made some friends when I went to school there, I only remember 2 names - Mark Dora and Angus Christie. I was good friends also with the Smart family which ran the Windmill Hotel where we stayed on our visits. Steven Smart was a good friend.

Marc Dora's family used to run a fish n chips shop in Arbroath.

Can anyone tell me what became of any of these places and people?

Is there anyone or a place that maintains the archives of the Arbroath Guide?

Someday I hope to get back there and visit once again !
