Plans include a possible extension of Kerrs Miniature Railway! I would agree..... However it ends up as land being swallowed up by the private sector and developed to serve those that can afford to "pay" for the amenities..... and as the years go by restricting access to great swathes of what was once public land... Sorry, but I think all development should be paid for by a Council budget. On this one I am positive I am not wrong... Private Initiatives all over show this to be the case!!

The railway has been involved in the 're-development' of West Links Park, and included in that, it was suggested that we moved closer to where the bulk of people were in the park (i.e the snack bar area). So we are extending the line to double it's length all the way along to the paddling pool where upon and three road station and turntable will be built! Please comment your thoughts or 'like'.
I still think it's a great idea, but have enquired who would own the land of the extended portion of track.

The greenland belongs to the town and it should remain that way. With the council clearly wanring to flogg of the football grpunds , no doubt to Crappy Stewart Milne, the loss of more land which are football pitches too should not be accepted.

A possibility of 1/2 million quid.... and with private initiative inputs/partnerships as well... When and if approved I look forward to seeing what the projects shall be..... Looks like our local Councillors have really been working hard to have got this far.
Although the misprinted 500 million quid would have been better

Im not having a go at teenagers in general as this applies to adults as well if they own their homes they tend to take more care of them(but not all adults some where just brought up right lol).

Although some Councillors are saying they are not against the proposal they are questioning the amount for the project in these times of austerity, especially with the forecast of a 30+ million pound deficit over next four years..!! I hope majority of Councillors are for the investment and it is voted for... Arbroath sorely needs this investment to get our image back as many areas have been left without proper funding for years!!

It is here at "links" until 24th July and back again in October... Well it seems to be tried and tested... I am just a "cowardie custard" when I look at it... A well used facility deserving an upgrade in my opinion. The timing of the development is peculiar though, why take it down days into the playparks busiest time of year instead of in autumn, winter or spring?
